The doc came by just a few minutes ago to do the first checkup, break the water, and let us know who is favored in the third.
The water breakage went normal, there was some meconium in the amniotic fluid which is typical for someone a week past due. Contractions are coming a little bit more regular as they continue to increase the potocin drip and she is progressing a long quite well. We are at 3 centimeters currently and as we move longer down the road I'll give an update.
The epidural lady is here to put in the pain relief.

Waiting Game
Now it's just a waiting game. So far nothing big has happened and we are just relaxing in the hospital room.
Does anyone feel like walking our dog this afternoon? I'd do it...but I have a business meeting with our newest employee later on this afternoon.

Nurses, IV's and a Bag-o-Pain
We are getting settled down in the room. The nurse has run all the lines, put on the contraction belt and comforted us as to what's going on......then she hooked up the pitocin. So very soon Abby will be having regular contractions.
The estimation is 8-12 hours for labor but we might be faster since Abby has had good contractions so far this morning.

Due Date Plus 7 Induction Day!!
We are sitting at in the waiting room at Baptist Hospital. We left the house early this morning, left Raleigh dog a lone in the house with free reign and a rawhide and we are waiting for the nurses to come take us to our room.
I will update during the day as things happen.

Due Date Plus 6.....The Nervous Waiting Game
Every contraction, every movement, every sigh, every trip to the bathroom could send us to the hospital. It makes it fun to be at home waiting to see if our child is going to come naturally or if the doctor will have to work his magic to hurry things along.
Here is the low-down. At 6:30 am on Wednesday June, 3 we will be taking a early morning drive to baptist hospital. We will take it slow and enjoy all the scenery. If we see wild flowers on the side of the road we might just take the time to stop and smell them....because at 7:30 our doctor will be inducing labor and we will just be cresting the hill on our way down into parent hood. Personally my hands are up in the air (waving like i just don't care) and I can't wait for the ride.
So there is a good chance that our hatchling will come into this world on June 3.
If you folks have any questions feel free to send me an email or leave a comment.

Abby's fluid level is back up to normal so the doc wants to wait until Wednesday to induce. We are going to spend the next couple of days at the house resting and getting ready for baby.
