Every contraction, every movement, every sigh, every trip to the bathroom could send us to the hospital. It makes it fun to be at home waiting to see if our child is going to come naturally or if the doctor will have to work his magic to hurry things along.
Here is the low-down. At 6:30 am on Wednesday June, 3 we will be taking a early morning drive to baptist hospital. We will take it slow and enjoy all the scenery. If we see wild flowers on the side of the road we might just take the time to stop and smell them....because at 7:30 our doctor will be inducing labor and we will just be cresting the hill on our way down into parent hood. Personally my hands are up in the air (waving like i just don't care) and I can't wait for the ride.
So there is a good chance that our hatchling will come into this world on June 3.

What time can I come to the hospital? Can I be there all day?
ReplyDeletewe're supposed to be there at 7, so show up whenever you want and stay until you are ready to leave.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to avoid medical induction (which, I hear, is not the most pleasant way to start labor), you may want to spend today activating acupressure points.
ReplyDeleteThis is the book we used to move things along (safely and non-medically) when our 3rd was almost 2 weeks overdue:

I printed the guidebook right away and told hubby to get working (we had only a few days left before the midwife would be legally obligated to transfer us to the hospital for induction -- something I wanted to avoid at all costs).
It also shows you safe acupressure points to press to reduce pain during the actual labor.
The best $27 I've ever spent.
Good luck! You're in for the ride of your life!!
